Meet The Team

Welcome to Arlington Home Interiors

Arlington Home Interiors is a full-service interior design studio that provides fresh, casually elegant living spaces for today’s modern families.

Founded by Suzanne Manlove in 2007, Arlington Home Interiors serves Northern Virginia and the DC metro area, including; Arlington, McLean, Falls Church, Great Falls, Potomac, Alexandria and Washington, DC.

Suzanne Manlove, Principal Designer + CEO

Suzanne’s a local girl. She grew up in Silver Spring and attended the University of Maryland, earning a B.S. in Graphic Design. After college, she focused her artistic energies in the fashion and advertising industries, working as a Designer and Creative Director for such national brands as Britches of Georgetown and Time-Life Entertainment. After the birth of her second child and 16 years in the industry, it was time to re-invent herself. A flexible schedule, greater work-life balance and the need to express her creativity were her top requirements for this new direction. Interior design proved to be the perfect match for her talents - creativity, problem solving, project management and helping others create beautiful homes. Ask her for a list of things that inspire her and it would be a long one, including; browsing local galleries, practicing yoga, meeting new people, visiting the latest hot spot, scouring flea markets for vintage pottery…and easily a hundred other things!

Mark Manlove, VP Marketing + Operations

If Mark’s last name sounds familiar, it’s no coincidence. He’s actually Suzanne’s husband! After a couple of years of rolling the “what if…” idea around, they decided it was time to make their dream of working together a reality. As the latest member of the AHI team, Mark brings with him nearly twenty years of marketing, operations and business development experience from the telecom and cable tv industries. And he’ll be putting that experience to good use to get the word out about AHI and to keep the back office moving (and grooving with great Spotify playlists). When not on the clock, Mark enjoys digging through crates of record albums at flea markets, adding Old Bay to almost everything and being in the ocean as much as possible.

Flavia Heupel, Design Assistant

Originally from Brazil, Flavia and her family have lived in Northern Virginia for over twenty years. She earned her B.A. in Sociology from the University of Virginia, and while she loved the subject, she soon realized her true calling was in interior design. So, she headed back to school for a second degree. Her creativity is sparked by anything reminiscent of the colors and textures of the beach, as well as reading up on the latest trends in design blogs and magazines. She finds inspiration in cooking, dancing and especially from her three-year old daughter with special needs, who always brightens her day with her contagious smile. And speaking of smiles, Flavia’s favorite part of the design process is seeing a client's reaction when they first see their finished space!

Angela Gore, Project Coordinator

Angela's career began in politics in her native country of New Zealand while working behind the scenes in Parliament. After migrating to the DC area and taking another assignment in the New Zealand Foreign Service, she realized maybe diplomacy wasn't for her. Which was great news for us! Angela keeps things moving around here, lending a hand with welcoming new clients, project installs and a little bit of everything in between. Angela lives in Arlington with her husband, also from New Zealand, and their two daughters. And if you need a TV recommendation for Scandinavian dramas, English crime shows or Japanese reality TV - she's your woman. Oh, and did we mention she was a member of the 2007 New Zealand national pub quiz champions?
